HMW Black is a recycled HMW. There are similarities to Blue Stripe in the release of the product, but there are also some pretty important differences. The color itself causes the liner to absorb more sunlight, which in turn allows for more expansion in the summer months. Even if the liner is installed properly, black liners will warp and buckle. A recycled HMW liner, due to the recycling and re-manufacturing, is more brittle than our 100% Virgin grade Blue Stripe, especially in colder temps. Nevertheless, in less demanding applications with a tight budget, UHMW Black may be a suitable product.
